This 4-ingredient protein cookie dough is so easy and takes only 5 minutes to make! It is packed with protein containing 15 grams per serving! Plus, it’s extremely delicious, flavorful, and healthy.

I can’t get enough of this cookie dough; I’ve had it almost every day for the past two weeks. It is perfect to replace sugar cravings, and it actually tastes like the real thing.

This cookie dough is a perfect post workout snack, midday snack, or healthy dessert. Place it on a rice cake, use it as a dip, or eat it straight out of the spoon. All three taste amazing!

I love to add a lot of dark chocolate chips because they are my favorite, but you can add any topping you want! Some great options include chopped nuts, coconut flakes, cacao nibs, or sprinkles.

I made this protein cookie dough with chickpeas, protein powder, peanut butter & water. I promise you can’t taste the chickpeas, but it creates an amazing texture and adds extra protein. So, it’s a win-win!

I also add vanilla protein powder for flavor and extra protein. My favorite protein powder is Orgain’s. They have so many flavors to try! My go to is vanilla, but I feel like chocolate would also taste amazing in this cookie dough!

I also am a huge peanut butter girl and love how it tastes in this cookie dough. I always use powdered peanut butter because it is less calories, but regular peanut butter or any nut butter would also work great.

Chickpeas

Chickpeas are a great source of plant-based protein with one cup providing 14 grams. It also contains all essential amino acids except for methionine. Additionally, chickpeas provide varieties of vitamins and minerals and are high in fiber. Plus, they are perfect to add to bowls to receive additional nutrients.

Protein Powder

Protein powder is an option to help replenish protein reserves and aide in muscle recovery. Powders are available in animal-based options such as whey and egg white, as well as non-animal options such as pea protein- which is an option for vegetarians.

Peanut Butter

Peanut Butter is a great source of protein and healthy fats. It also is loaded with vitamins and minerals, which are essential for the body. Additionally, it is high in fiber which aids better digestion. Since, most peanut butters have added ingredients like sugar or oil, the best option is to buy it with peanuts only.

Dark Chocolate

Dark chocolate, containing 70% of cacao, is a powerful source of antioxidants. Research has also shown that consuming dark chocolate can improve cardiovascular health and lower blood pressure.

Notes

  • I use powder peanut butter because it is less calories but contains the same amount of protein per serving!
  • You can use any flavor of protein powder. I just like vanilla best.
  • Make sure to gradually add water to form desired texture.
