Healthy chocolate chip cookies that taste amazing! What’s not to love? These cookies are packed with whole ingredients that benefit the body, and make you feel great after. They are filled with flavor, soft and chewy, and so easy to make! All you need is 6 common ingredients!

I have a huge, sweet tooth but hate how I feel after eating sweets. This is why I love these cookies they taste amazing (better than regular cookies in my opinion), and I feel great afterwards.

To be honest, I couldn’t accept the idea of healthy desserts but once I tried these chocolate chip cookies my outlook changed. They are filled with incredible flavor and have a soft chewy texture. Not to mention, they are even so healthy you could eat them for breakfast!

Ingredients:

-Oats

-Peanut Butter

-Eggs

-Maple Syrup

-Baking Powder

-Dark Chocolate Chips

What makes these cookies so healthy?

Oats

Oats are one of the healthiest grains we can consume. It is a good source of carbs and contain many B vitamins, to help fuel energy. The fiber content is good for gut health and can help decrease cholesterol.

Peanut Butter

Peanut Butter is a great source of protein and healthy fats. It also is loaded with vitamins and minerals, which are essential for the body. Additionally, it is high in fiber which aids better digestion. Since, most peanut butters have added ingredients like sugar or oil, the best option is to buy it with peanuts only.

Eggs

Eggs are a complete protein containing 8 grams protein per egg, similar to the amount of protein in 1 ounce of meat. Eggs are high in selenium, choline, and Vitamins B-12 and B-7. Whole eggs can be substituted with 3 egg whites 1/4 cup egg substitute.

Dark Chocolate

Dark chocolate, containing 70% of cacao, is a powerful source of antioxidants. Research has also shown that consuming dark chocolate can improve cardiovascular health and lower blood pressure.

Maple Syrup

Maple syrup is made up of carbohydrates and provides some manganese and zinc. Colors can range from light to dark with a variable intensity of sweetness. Try to purchase natural syrup versus artificially flavored varieties.

  • Instead of Rolled Oats you can use Steel Oats.
  • You can substitute Peanut Butter with any Nut Butter.
  • Maple Syrup can be substituted with Honey or Agave Syrup.
  • Dark chocolate chips can be substituted with any chocolate chips or nuts.

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. 2. Combine Oat flour, Peanut Butter, Eggs, Maple Syrup, and Baking Powder.
  3. 3. Add Dark Chocolate Chips and stir until dough forms.
  4. 4. Scoop into balls and place on a cookie sheet. (Use cooking spray or parchment paper on sheet)
  5. 5. Cook for 15-18 minutes.
  6. 6. Let cookies cool for 15-20 minutes.
  7. 7. Serve and Enjoy!

Notes
