Brownie Batter Energy Ball Ingredients

Rolled Oats

Rolled oats are NECESSARY to create these energy balls, and for good reason. They create the best consistency and texture. Plus, they are also filling, inexpensive, and delicious.

Tip- Not all oats are gluten free so make sure you look for oats that say gluten free on the package.

Cacao Powder

If you love chocolate this ingredient is for you! Cacao powder is going to create the chocolaty taste we all love. It is very bitter alone, but great in recipes.

Tip- Buy organic cacao powder for full health benefits

Chocolate Protein Powder

This is going to enhance the chocolate flavor even more and add protein. There are so many brands of protein you can pick from but my favorite is Organ’s. I love how their protein powder contain no inflammatory ingredients and have whey and plant based options.

I just tried the Simply Organic Plant Based Chocolate Protein and it is my new favorite flavor. I add it to every dessert or smoothie!

Almond Butter

Almond Butter allows the ingredients to stick together and form a doughy consistency.

Tip- For full health benefits buy almond butter that only contains almonds.

Tip- You can also use any nut butter!

Honey

Honey is a gem if you want to sweeten anything. Plus, it is 100% natural (if you buy pure honey).

Tip- You can use Agave Syrup or Maple Syrup instead!

Dark Chocolate Chips

These are 100% optional, but I recommend using them! Dark chocolate chips are an added bonus and add more chocolate flavor. Plus, who doesn’t love chocolate chip brownies.

Tip- Buy 70% or more cocoa for full health benefits!

Almond butter is good source of monounsaturated fats, and provides a good source of vitamin E, magnesium and calcium. Try to purchase almond butter made without any additives or sugar to maximize health benefits.
