How Lemon Protein Cookie Ingredients Benefit Us

Plain Greek Yogurt- Greek Yogurt is packed with protein and it’s an excellent choice for supporting muscle growth and repair. Additionally, it’s good source of calcium, essential for strong bones and teeth, as well as probiotics that promote gut health and aid digestion. With its low sugar content and high nutritional profile, including vitamins B12 and D, Greek yogurt is a versatile ingredient that can be enjoyed on its own or incorporated in multiple dishes like these cookies!

Eggs- Eggs are packed with essential nutrients that support overall health and well-being. Rich in high-quality protein, eggs provide the building blocks for muscle repair and growth, making them an ideal choice for post-workout recovery. They’re also loaded with vitamins and minerals, including vitamin D, vitamin B12, and selenium, which play crucial roles in bone health, brain function, and immune support.

Oats- Oats are by far one of the healthiest grains we can consume. They are packed with fiber and support digestive health by keeping you feeling fuller for longer, making them an excellent choice for weight management. They’re also rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, such as manganese, phosphorus, and beta-glucan, which help lower cholesterol levels and reduce the risk of heart disease. Oats are a versatile ingredient that can be enjoyed in various forms, like oat flour!

Almond Flour- Almond flour isn’t just a gluten-free alternative to traditional wheat flour; it’s a powerhouse of nutrition too! Rich in healthy fats, protein, and fiber, almond flour provides sustained energy while keeping you full and satisfied. Additionally, it’s loaded with essential nutrients like vitamin E, magnesium, and manganese, which support overall health and well-being.

Coconut Sugar- Unlike white sugar, coconut sugar retains some of the nutrients found in the coconut palm sap, including minerals like potassium, magnesium, zinc, and iron. Additionally, coconut sugar has a lower glycemic index compared to white sugar, meaning it causes a slower rise in blood sugar levels, making it a good option for managing blood sugar. With its rich caramel-like flavor and nutrient density, coconut sugar offers a sweet indulgence with a hint of added benefits. Like any sweetener, make sure to enjoy coconut sugar in moderation (especially since it’s higher in saturated fat).

Protein Powder- Protein powder is a convenient supplement that contains numerous nutritional benefits. It provides essential amino acids used for muscle repair, growth, and maintenance. Protein powder can also aid in weight management by promoting feelings of fullness and reducing overall calorie intake. My favorite protein powder is Orgain.

Lemons- Lemons are citrus fruits with lots of nutritional benefits. Rich in vitamin C, they contain immune-boosting properties, aiding in the body’s defense against infections and supporting overall health. Additionally, lemons contain soluble fiber, which helps promote digestive health. They also contain antioxidants like flavonoids and limonoids, which have been linked to reduced inflammation and improved heart health.

Vanilla Extract- Vanilla is rich in antioxidants, such as vanillin, and possesses anti-inflammatory properties that can help promote overall health. Additionally, it contains small amounts of B-complex vitamins, including niacin, thiamin, and riboflavin, which contribute to energy metabolism and nervous system function. Vanilla extract is also known to have a calming effect on the body, potentially reducing anxiety and stress levels.
