These healthy cookie dough bites are one of my favorite healthy desserts! They are easy to make and store, plus so delicious! They are the perfect healthy dessert to snack on through the week.

I don’t know about y’all but I have a huge sweet tooth, especially when it comes to chocolate! These cookie dough bites are the perfect solution to that.

They also taste like real cookie dough and are filled with four feel good ingredients! These healthy cookie dough bites are a great way to cure your sweet tooth while receiving extra nutrients.

These are also great for parties, kids, and late night sugar cravings!

Healthy Cookie Dough Ingredients

Only made with 4 ingredients!

Chickpeas- I use canned

Peanut Butter- Look for all natural, organic peanut butter

substitutions- almond or cashew

Honey- All natural honey

substitutions: maple or agave syrup

Dark Chocolate Chips- I use 70-80% cacao

substitutions: dark chocolate bar

How Each Ingredient Benefits Us:

Chickpeas- a great source of plant-based protein with one cup providing 14 grams. It also contains all essential amino acids except for methionine. Additionally, chickpeas provide varieties of vitamins and minerals and are high in fiber. Plus, they are perfect to add to bowls to receive additional nutrients.

Peanut Butter- a great source of protein and healthy fats. It also is loaded with vitamins and minerals, which are essential for the body. Additionally, it is high in fiber which aids better digestion. Since, most peanut butters have added ingredients like sugar or oil, the best option is to buy it with peanuts only.

Honey- contains antioxidants, minerals, and enzymes. It is also shown that honey can soothe coughs, sore throats and treat wounds. Plus, it is super easy to add honey in your diet, and pairs well with yogurt, oats, baking, etc.

Dark chocolate- containing 70% of cacao, is a powerful source of antioxidants. Research has also shown that consuming dark chocolate can improve cardiovascular health and lower blood pressure.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Mash chickpeas in a food processor, blender or with a fork
  2. Add chickpeas, peanut butter, and honey in a medium size bowl.
  3. Shape into balls and place in a container with parchment paper.
  4. Freeze for 1-2 hours.
  5. Melt dark chocolate chips and dip.
  6. Freeze for 1 hour.
  7. Serve & enjoy!

  • Feel free to use dark chocolate chips or a dark chocolate bar
  • Store in freezer
